File Transfer

There are several programs that can be used to transfer files between machines. Some of them come with MINIX by default:

• ftp
• rcp
• fetch
• urlget (download only)

Additionally, the following programs can be installed via packman:

• openssh - scp can transfer files
• ncftp
• rsync
• wget (download only)

With 3.1.8 and later, software can be installed using pkgin. See the Installing Binary Packages guide for details on installing software.
